It often takes significant energy and courage to seek out therapy, and my goal is to support you as we explore what meaningful change and healing you would like to cultivate in your life.

I recognize that each individual brings unique experiences and perspectives to therapy. My practice is grounded in a holistic framework, acknowledging the complex interplay of personal, psychosocial, and cultural influences that shape our beliefs, values, and lived experiences. I am committed to creating a therapeutic environment that is warm, inclusive, and collaborative where you feel supported in deepening your self-awareness. My approach is characterized by genuine curiosity, openness, compassion, and non-judgment. As a white, able-bodied clinician, I am committed to ongoing self-reflection and leveraging my privilege to actively resist systems of oppression.

I hold a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. I was drawn to this particular counseling program because of its emphasis on Community Mental Health and my interest in increasing equitable access to mental health services. Before joining the field of mental health, I worked in sustainable agriculture and outdoor education. My experience in these areas is reflected in my current work through an ongoing passion for growth, connection, and a fascination with how we both impact and are impacted by the systems we operate within. I strongly believe that our personal healing does not occur within a vacuum, but rather is fostered and fueled by our relationship and connection to our communities and the greater environment.

My therapeutic work is influenced and energized by Liberation Psychology, Systems Thinking, and a social justice-oriented approach. I draw from a wide variety of counseling theories and therapeutic approaches including Trauma-Informed Care and a Strengths-based model. Other modalities I often incorporate include Attachment-based Therapy, Solution-focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and evidence-based practices such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My personal love of the outdoors and belief in the healing power of nature frequently show up in sessions through the use of nature-based metaphors, mindfulness practices, and body-based approaches. I often turn to nature for my own healing – seeking out rivers, mountains, and birdsong any chance I can get.

I am a Registered Associate in the process of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I am under the supervision of a licensed practitioner and I follow the LPC code of ethics. Throughout our work together, there may be times where I seek supervision or consultation in order to best support you. As such, I will provide information regarding the limits to confidentiality on an ongoing basis. I am also a licensed Professional CoActive Coach (LPCC) and an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
